The Locally Promise
We call our guarantee Locally Verified. Every company that carries the Locally name publishes the owner’s name, a local address you can drive to, and a license number you can look up before you call. The person who answers the phone is the person who shows up, and the price he says on the phone is the price on the invoice. That is the whole promise, and we stand behind it for 90 days on every job.
What the Promise Means for You
- You know who you’re letting in. Before you call, you can look up the owner’s name, see his face, and verify his license with the county. No surprises at the door.
- The quote on the phone is the quote on the invoice. We don’t bait with a low number and switch once we’re standing in your kitchen. The price he says is the price you pay.
- The owner answers, and the owner arrives. Not a dispatcher in another time zone. Not a subcontractor you’ve never spoken to. The same voice on the phone is the one shaking your hand.
- You can find us after the work is done. The address is real, the truck has local plates, and you’re going to see us again at the hardware store or the ballgame. That is how we stay honest.

One Standard, Every Brand
Locally started with a complaint, not a business plan. In 1997, a retired county extension agent named Ward Selby kept hearing the same story from neighbors: somebody had called a number off a listing, a truck with out-of-state plates had shown up, the quote at the door was three times the quote on the phone, and by the time anything went wrong the number had stopped working. What bothered him was not that the companies were bad. It was that there was no way to tell the real ones from the rest before you let them into your house.
So he wrote down what a homeowner could actually verify in five minutes: a phone number with the local area code that a person answers, an address you can drive to, the owner’s name and face, and a license number you can look up. Any company that would publish all four could carry his name. That list is still the entire standard, and it is still the only thing Locally sells.
We named this company for the answer to the only question our customers actually ask. Not a place, not a founder, not a virtue: the word they say out loud on the phone when they are deciding whether to trust you. “Are you actually local?”
Every brand in the Locally family is held to that same standard. Whether you hire the plumber in your county or the electrician in the next town over, you get the same experience because the same promise binds us all. The owner answers his own phone. His truck carries his own name. He lives twenty minutes away, hires here, buys here, and sponsors the team here. He would rather keep you for twenty years than win one big ticket.
